DEFINITION OF ROSES

In classes for EXHIBITION BLOOMS, one ½ to ¾ open of good size
Classes 1 & 14
In classes for DECORATIVE BLOOMS, blooms shall be ¼ to ½ open and additional flowers(s) shall be disqualified.      
Classes 3 & 16.
In classes for INDIVIDUAL BLOOMS, an entry having side bud(s) shall be disqualified.
In classes for BUDS, buds must have all sepals separated, colour showing and
not more than two petals unfurling.
In classes for STEMS, an opening bud or floret judged to be more than ¼ open
shall be considered an open flower.
In classes of small STEMS of ROSES with not more than three flowers open,
the entry having more than three flowers open shall be disqualified.
Classes 5 & 18.
In classes for large STEM of ROSES with four or more flowers open, the entry
having fewer than four flowers open shall be disqualified
Classes 6, 17 & 19.
In classes for STEMS an entry having a subsidiary stem growing from below
the first compound leaf of five or more leaflets on the main stem shall constitute a branch and shall be disqualified.
In classes for FULL BLOOMS, bloom shall be more than ¾ open, stamens
need not be showing.
Classes 2 & 15.
Doors open to Exhibitors 7.30am Friday.
Exhibits to be staged by 10.00am after which judges and stewards
only will be allowed in the hall.
No exhibits to be removed from Show before 5.00pm on Friday.
No charge for entries.

7. Old world rose (including David Austin), 1 flower, stem, spray or cluster.
8.Vase of old world type roses (including David Austin Roses).Any cultivar or cultivars.To be staged for frontal effect.

11. Basket of large roses with other flowers and foliage in a 60cm space. Basket must have handle able to be carried.

have handle able to be carried.
13. Romantic dining table centrepiece, roses and foliage. Dimensions not to exceed 50cm x 25cm – 20cm high.

SECTION B – CLASSES FOR NOVICES
A novice is a competitor who has won three or fewer first prizes in a public show.

30. Arrangement in a domestic teapot.
